Job summary

HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) SA seeks a Head of Regulatory Compliance for Corporate & Institutional Banking to lead the RC function and drive risk-aware growth in Switzerland. You will shape strategy, risk appetite, and engage regulators as a trusted adviser to senior leadership.

With strong knowledge of Swiss banking regulations, you will guide cross-functional teams, ensure robust controls, and foster a culture of compliant, customer-centric risk management.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment and corporate banking.
• Experience with regulatory compliance risk frameworks and their execution.
• Proactive approach to risk management, reporting, escalation and regulators’ interaction.
• Ability to interact confidently with regulators and authorities.
• Strong cross-functional partnering with business units and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.
• Sound judgement, problem-solving and integrity in complex matters.
• Master’s degree from a university or applied sciences.
• Fluency in English; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the RC function as a strategic partner, ensuring risk discipline while supporting growth.
• Define and implement the compliance strategy and risk appetite with key stakeholders.
• Maintain effective regulatory relationships and timely regulatory engagement and reporting.
• Oversee the RC framework, policies, controls, and escalation of material issues.
• Provide clear, timely advice on regulatory risks related to clients, products and changes.
• Promote a strong compliance culture and responsible business conduct.
