Job summary

HSBC in Geneva seeks a Head of Risk Strategy and Oversight for Private Banking to lead independent 2LoD risk oversight across Switzerland and branches. You will shape the risk taxonomy, work with risk stewards, and provide forward-looking risk governance.

Qualifications

• Substantial risk management experience in financial services, ideally Swiss private banking.
• Deep knowledge of risk governance and Swiss regulatory framework.
• Ability to communicate complex risk matters to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Private Bank Switzerland risk profile and emerging risks across the risk taxonomy.
• Aggregate risk steward reporting and risk intelligence including incidents and indicators.
• Brief the CRO on material risks and options for escalation.
• Challenge high-risk client relationships including financial crime and regulatory issues.
• Oversee client portfolio risk by sector, geography, product, and exposure to events.
• Promote consistent risk culture and governance through escalation and training.
