Head of Metrology/ Test Engineering

YOUR MAIN TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

1. Lead, coach and develop the Metrology Engineering team (currently 6 employees)
2. Collaboration in cross-functional project teams including development, product management and quality assurance
3. Requirements review, designing and developing test setups and procedures, executing system tests, identifying and analyzing issues that arise during testing and creating test documentation.
4. Responsible for managing and enhancing the Metrology Engineering test infrastructure with a focus on automation
5. Responsible for the validation and verification of tools and products according to various standards, such as MIL-STDs
6. Ensuring development projects are executed according to our development process and optimizing the process in regards to Metrology Engineering
7. Collaboration within the Safran Group and with external test facilities
8. Participation in the elaboration of the R&D Strategy and its implementation

Job Requirements

YOUR PROFILE:

1. ETH/UNI/FH Master or Bachelor degree in a technical field
2. Leadership personality with experience in leading a team in Metrology / Test Engineering
3. Analytical mindset combined with a solution-oriented approach to identify and efficiently solve complex challenges.
4. A proven understanding of technology (optics/physics, electronics, software, and mechanics) and technological trends within the field of test engineering
5. Experience with requirements engineering (V-model) and application engineering
6. Experience with test automation
7. Fluency in German and English
