Huhtamaki AG is seeking a Head of Finance to lead the financial, operational, and governance framework of the Principal Company operating model. You will drive profitability, cross-functional collaboration, and scalable processes across regions while integrating Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance and Systems.

The role demands strong leadership, experience with buy–sell models, transfer pricing, and IFRS control.

Aufgaben

• Lead end-to-end design, governance, and performance of the Principal Company model.
• Drive profitability and operational excellence across regions.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.
• Collaborate with IT, Tax, and Treasury on system governance and improvements.
• Ensure VAT compliance, balance sheet integrity, and IFRS reporting.
• Direct transfer pricing, financial analysis, and business case evaluation.
• Own onboarding of customers/suppliers and ERP development initiatives.
• Lead cross-regional onboarding and manage internal controls and risk.

Head of Finance

Huhtamaki currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Finance to lead the financial, operational, and governance framework of Huhtamaki AG's Principal Company operating model. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a high-profile transformation, driving profitability, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration across a global network.

Your opportunity

The Head of Finance, Huhtamaki AG, is responsible for the end-to-end design, governance, and performance of the Principal Company (buy–sell) operating model. The successful candidate will drive scalable, compliant, and profitable operations across regions, integrating Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, and Systems to drive operational excellence and profitability.

Where you'll be

This role is preferably based in Zug, Switzerland or Espoo, Finland, and includes occasional travel to the UAE.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the global project team in the implementation of the Principal Company operating model, leading change management activities across business units and key stakeholder groups.
• Lead weekly S&OP and inventory planning processes across regions, fostering effective governance, alignment, and collaboration throughout the supply chain network.
• Design and implement supply chain and warehousing solutions that support business growth while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including EUDR and EPR.
• Monitor end-to-end supply chain profitability and provide leadership for Customer Service operations within Huhtamaki AG.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities, while developing and enhancing management information systems that support the operating model.
• Ensure robust VAT compliance, balance sheet integrity, and hedging processes, while managing statutory, IFRS, and management reporting requirements.
• Lead transfer pricing and credit insurance activities, delivering profitability insights, business case evaluations, and financial performance analysis.
• Own customer and supplier onboarding processes, while driving ERP development initiatives and continuous process improvement.
• Act as a key partner to IT, Global Tax, and Global Treasury teams, supporting system governance, incident management, and process optimization.
• Define and develop the operating model footprint, leading business onboarding activities and supporting cross-regional strategic initiatives.
• Establish and strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks, partnering with Treasury and Insurance teams to effectively manage business risks.

What You'll Bring To The Role

• Extensive finance leadership experience spanning accounting, financial reporting, business performance, and profitability management.
• A proactive, forward-thinking, and collaborative approach, coupled with the energy and resilience to drive change in a complex global environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across functions and geographies.
• Deep expertise in buy-sell and intercompany operating models, including transfer pricing and tax considerations.
• Experience within supply chain management, inventory planning, and S&OP processes.
• Proven track record in ERP implementation, systems development, and process design.
• Strong analytical capabilities with a focus on performance, business improvement, and value creation.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and inspire teams and stakeholders in a global matrix organization.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, with the confidence and credibility to communicate effectively with senior leadership and C-level stakeholders.
• German language skills would also be highly desirable
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
