Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search, a specialist in global commodity sourcing, is seeking a Head of Fertilizer Trading to build and lead its international fertilizer trading desk from Switzerland. The role focuses on physical trading of urea, ammonia, phosphates, DAP, MAP, NPK and related products, with emphasis on expanding North Africa and Latin America coverage.

Candidate will own strategy, risk management, and P&L, develop key relationships with producers, suppliers and customers, and drive growth

Qualifications

• Significant experience in physical fertilizer trading.
• Established network in fertilizer producers, suppliers and customers.
• Strong track record with demonstrable P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the company’s international fertilizer trading activities across products including urea, ammonia, phosphates, DAP, MAP, NPK, potash and related fertilizer products
• Manage and grow physical trading volumes across key global markets
• Develop relationships with producers, suppliers, distributors and end users
• Take responsibility for commercial strategy, P&L performance and market development
• Identify new trading opportunities, with particular focus on North Africa and Latin America

Redstone Commodity Search are working with a diversified international trading group looking to appoint a Head of Fertilizer Trading to develop and lead its global fertilizer trading business.

This is an opportunity for an experienced fertilizer trader to take ownership of a growing desk, drive physical trading activity and further develop the company’s presence across key international markets. Experience and relationships across North Africa and/or Latin America are of particular interest.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the company’s international fertilizer trading activities across products including urea, ammonia, phosphates, DAP, MAP, NPK, potash and related fertilizer products
• Manage and grow physical trading volumes across key global marketsli>
• Develop relationships with producers, suppliers, distributors and end users
• Take responsibility for commercial strategy, P&L performance and market development
• Identify new trading opportunities, with particular focus on North Africa and Latin America

Key Requirements

• Significant experience within physical fertilizer trading
• Strong knowledge of nitrogen, phosphate and/or potash markets
• Proven commercial track record with demonstrable P&L responsibility
• Established network of producers, suppliers and customers within the fertilizer market
• Experience across North Africa and/or Latin America highly desirable
