Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a Geneva-based Head of Operations to lead the firm's physical and derivatives trading operations. You will manage a team of about 10 professionals, coordinating trade execution from deal capture to settlement and ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration with Trading, Finance, Legal and Compliance.

• Proven experience leading an operations team and managing a complex international trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of commodity trade execution, international logistics, contractual and shipping documentation, Incoterms and settlement processes.
• Commercially minded with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage operational risk, exceptions and competing priorities.

• Lead and develop the operations function, managing a team of approximately 10 and ensuring an effective, commercially focused service to the trading business.
• Take ownership of trade execution across the portfolio, working closely with front-office teams to ensure transactions progress efficiently from deal capture through to completion.
• Oversee logistics, documentation and settlement activity across international commodity flows, ensuring operational issues and discrepancies are identified and resolved quickly.
• Act as the senior operational point of contact across Trading, Finance, Credit, Legal and Compliance, as well as key external counterparties and service providers.
• Drive improvements across operational processes, controls and systems while supporting the business as it expands into new products, markets and trading activities.

Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international commodities trading group looking to appoint a Geneva-based Head of Operations to take responsibility for the management and development of its trading operations function.

The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 10 people and play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of the firm's physical commodity and derivatives trading activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the operations function, managing a team of approximately 10 and ensuring an effective, commercially focused service to the trading business.
• Take ownership of trade execution across the portfolio, working closely with front-office teams to ensure transactions progress efficiently from deal capture through to completion.
• Oversee logistics, documentation and settlement activity across international commodity flows, ensuring operational issues and discrepancies are identified and resolved quickly.

• Commercially minded with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage operational risk, exceptions and competing priorities.
• Geneva based role. Swiss residency or eligibility to work in Switzerland is required.
