One of my clients, a company that has surpassed startup status and is currently looking to scale up to 100+ employees in the next two years from its current 50, is seeking a Head of Data Science / Machine Learning (m/w/d).

• 10+ years of professional experience in data science and machine learning
• 4+ years of management experience leading teams of at least 15 people across different units
• You will be the driving force behind their data and ML strategy
• You will lead talented teams of data scientists and machine learning specialists, guide the development of state-of-the-art models, and work closely with leadership to turn data into a key business enabler
• Management to hands-on work ratio: 50:50 (more management focus)
• Proven track record of scaling businesses from 20+ to 40+ employees

Mission & About the Company:

• Define and lead the data science & ML roadmap across products and departments
• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team
• Drive innovation with AI/ML technologies, from prototypes to production
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams
• Ensure scalability, quality, and ethical use of data and algorithms
• Stay ahead of the latest research and best practices
• Compensation package: 160,000 - 250,000 CHF/year + corporate benefits such as stock options
• Holidays: 5 weeks plus Christmas season, approximately 29 days per year
• Option to choose Mac or Windows with high RAM for heavy AI tasks
