A multinational maritime transport company in the Geneva region is seeking an Investment Director of Terminal to oversee and enhance the performance of a large global portfolio. The candidate will report to the company head and serve as a key representative in terminal joint ventures, driving value creation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Represent the company's interests in joint ventures, fostering strong partnerships with terminal leadership and Board members.
- Ensure good corporate governance and provide strategic oversight to terminal management.
- Guide capacity and productivity development plans, aligning them with long-term business goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of each terminal’s business model to maximize ROI while maintaining service levels.
- Collaborate with Business Development on long-term planning, capital expenditures, and financial strategies.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and operational challenges to adapt investment strategies.
- Build and nurture relationships with terminal management, joint venture partners, port authorities, and key customers.
- Ensure strong senior management retention and foster a high-performance culture with structured incentives.
Requirements :
- Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, investment performance, and terminal industry drivers. Prior experience in a C-level operational role within an EU terminal is essential.
- Significant experience in maritime transportation.
- Investment & operational acumen: Experience managing joint ventures, capital investments, and strategic planning.
- Hands-on approach: Detail-oriented and execution-driven, focused on continuous performance improvement.
- Excellent English skills, with strong presentation and reporting abilities.
