Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Switzerland is seeking a Commissioning Team Leader to guide a skilled group of commissioning engineers. You will develop and review commissioning plans, supervise pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and performance verification, ensuring safety and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering and 6+ years in commissioning or operations, with at least 3 years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in commissioning/start-up/operations for heavy industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of Commissioning Engineers, providing technical expertise, coaching, and performance management.
• Develop, review, and approve detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules aligned with project requirements and safety standards.
• Oversee all commissioning phases, including pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and performance verification.
• Work closely with project management, engineering, tender/sales teams, and clients to ensure seamless execution.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues during commissioning, implementing corrective actions and optimizing system performance.
