Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a visionary and passionate leader to take the reins as Head of Brand and Promotion Management FIBA Marketing, making a lasting impact in the global sports industry. In this key role, you will drive the strategic brand direction and promotional efforts.

Based in Mies and Zug, you’ll work at the intersection of sport, media, and fan engagement—collaborating with international stakeholders and leading a dynamic, creative team.

  • Brand Leadership: Define and evolve the brand vision, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints (events, merchandise, digital, broadcast, sponsorship, etc.)
  • Strategic Planning: Develop long-term brand and promotional strategies that align with overall business and fan engagement objectives
  • Campaign Development: Lead the creation and execution of high-impact promotional campaigns for events, products, and athlete/club profiles
  • Market Research: Analyze fan demographics, behaviors, and trends to inform branding decisions and improve engagement
  • Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing team of brand managers, designers, content creators, and campaign strategists
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with sponsorship, PR, media, and digital teams to maximize campaign synergy and performance
  • Performance Metrics: Set KPIs, monitor campaign effectiveness, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity; drive innovative activations that create buzz and loyalty

Your profile

  • You bring 7–10 years of experience in brand marketing, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within the sports, entertainment, or lifestyle sector
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (an MBA is a plus)
  • You have a strong track record of successfully managing large-scale promotional campaigns and brand activations
  • You possess a deep understanding of the sports industry and fan culture
  • You demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams
  • You excel in communication and storytelling, with the ability to inspire and influence
  • You are well-versed in digital and social media platforms, sports sponsorships, and live event promotions
  • You have experience with global brand management, and knowledge of athlete marketing, licensing, and media rights would be a strong advantage
  • You are fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
