The Global Head of Apparel Product Management will be responsible for development and scaling On’s overall apparel product vision.

Defining the next generation of our apparel product strategy, inspiring a fast growing, ambitious team to create the extraordinary and enabling our brand to be an outstanding and innovative leader in apparel is the legacy to be built. This role will create the DNA and appeal for our apparel pieces to be chosen over our competitors from the most demanding consumers in performance running as well as luxury sportswear.

By partnering with key internal stakeholders in Design, Merchandising, Development, GTM and Sales, this role will be pivotal in building out the right product collections and strategy, while connecting them to brand values and stories that will elevate the consumer experience and perception across our verticals and engines.

Your Mission
  • Structure and organize On’s apparel product offering across our verticals to enhance consumer perception, performance-level, quality, price point relevance and steer range decision
  • Imagine, identify and develop product opportunities and work with the product leadership and key internal teams in realising them across the ranges
  • Manage key collaborations to establish On as an authentic apparel brand
  • Be a strong discussion partner for the marketing and merchandising teams in creating stories, messaging, campaigns and drop-calendars
  • Partner with Design, Development and Sourcing Operations to ensure the creation calendar is adhered to and product delivered on time at the expected standard
  • Partner with the Merchandising team, GTM team,Key Account Managers and DTC team to ensure a smooth GTM process is followed and product reaches the right consumer at the right time within the correct pricing architecture
  • Set the expectations within the team for key milestones meetings and lead in the preparations for internal and external presentations
  • Build, nurture and inspire a team of product managers by building a diverse talent pipeline, empowering and enabling through coaching, career development and creating an environment of belonging and well-being
  • Develop a structured range of collections according to the company priorities and manage the product strategy from briefing to handover to marketing and sales
  • Be on top of demand and supply, strategic efficiency topics and margins
Your story
  • Minimum of 9+ years of progressive work experience in a fast paced product company with a strong track record in product management, creation, merchandising, go-to-market or sales
  • Experience working in apparel product management combining both fashion and performance/sports
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills - proven experience working with data, providing insights to identify and resolve issues, in order to improve product management process
  • Exceptional communication skills enabling leadership through influence - articulating the apparel product strategy and vision to various stakeholders within the company
  • People Leadership Skills - at least 7 years of experience as a leader who will inspire the apparel and the wider On team to build and support On’s apparel vision
  • Proven expertise within the competitive sportswear landscape and the consumer trends - ability to challenge and disrupt it; and the taste to stay the course across product, marketing, channel and merchandising
  • Experience managing PLM and other product systems
  • Experience with progressive and innovative consumer insights efforts

Just by the banks of the Limmat you’ll find our largest global hub in Zürich West – On Labs – where you can hike up 12 floors through our custom-built spiral trail.

Every single person on the team is actually involved from the start and everyone brings their ideas. We spend time playing around in our lab so that we can get quick ideas down and then test these with athletes or with the consumers.
