Recrutis is partnering with an international biotech organisation to recruit a Head of Analytics for the canton of Valais, Switzerland. The role leads Chromatography and Bioassays, driving method development and automation initiatives while maintaining scientific excellence and client delivery.

On-site permanent position starting early 2027, reporting to the COO, with 5+ years in biologics analytics and a PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analytical experience with biologics (recombinant proteins, antibodies, biosimilars)
• First leadership or coordination experience in a laboratory setting
• Hands-on chromatography expertise (HPLC/UPLC) for protein characterisation
• Fluent professional English and working French to lead a bilingual team
• Involvement in a digitalisation or automation project in an analytical lab

Responsabilités

• Lead the Chromatography and Bioassays groups as a unified department
• Act as technical reference in HPLC/UPLC and capillary electrophoresis
• Drive method development, qualification and validation where required
• Oversee data interpretation and troubleshooting with external providers
• Build and monitor KPIs, budget, staffing and equipment proposals
• Define and execute a prioritised digitalisation and automation roadmap
