Job summary

Andermatt Swiss Alps AG is seeking a senior finance leader to own the end-to-end close, standardise reporting under Swiss CO, IFRS and USALI, and redesign RtR, PtP and OtC with a strong automation focus.

You will lead and develop the accounting team across several properties, ensuring high data quality, effective controls, and collaboration with CFO, Operations, IT and HR.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in hospitality or services, with knowledge of operational accounting (closing, AP/AR, VAT).
• Experience leading and developing an accounting team and enjoy mentoring others.
• Strong understanding of Swiss CO, IFRS and USALI; ERP systems and process optimization (RtR, PtP, OtC).
• Hands-on practice in AP/AR automation, BI/reporting and Excel (pivot tables and data analysis).
• Analytical, solution-oriented and pragmatic with a can-do mindset.
• Excellent communication across finance, operations and IT.
• German and English at C1 level; university finance degree or Fachausweis Rechnungswesen/CPA/ACCA/CA.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end close processes and drive a fast month-end close with standardised postings and automated reconciliations.
• Standardise reporting under Swiss CO, IFRS and USALI for monthly, quarterly and annual periods.
• Redesign RtR, PtP and OtC with a focus on automation and data quality.
• Optimise cash, bank and card reconciliations via automated matching.
• Redesign night audit, daily revenue reporting and link PMS, POS and GL.
• Advance AP automation, e-invoicing, credit management for group and corporate clients.
• Identify and implement automation and efficiency opportunities.
• Lead and develop the accounting team across multiple properties; set goals and career paths.

• Own the full month-end close, aiming for a fast close through standardised postings, automated reconciliations and accruals
• Standardise monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting under Swiss CO, IFRS and USALI
• Redesign the end-to-end processes RtR, PtP and OtC, with a focus on automation and high data quality
• Optimise cash, bank and credit card reconciliations through automated matching

Daily operations & transformation

• Own the full month-end close, aiming for a fast close through standardised postings, automated reconciliations and accruals
• Standardise monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting under Swiss CO, IFRS and USALI
• Redesign the end-to-end processes RtR, PtP and OtC, with a focus on automation and high data quality
• Optimise cash, bank and credit card reconciliations through automated matching

Process efficiency & systems

• Redesign night audit and daily revenue reporting, linking PMS, POS and general ledger more closely
• Further develop PtP and OtC: AP automation, e-invoicing, credit management and collections for group and corporate clients
• Identify and implement automation and efficiency opportunities

Compliance

• Ensure timely VAT returns, payroll taxes and other levies
• Act as the main point of contact for the external auditors and tax authorities
• Design and automate internal controls to prevent fraud and protect company assets
• Contribute to the annual budget and rolling forecast

Team & collaboration

• Build, lead and coach the accounting team across several properties, both functionally and as line manager
• Define roles and hire together with the Talent Acquisition team
• Set clear goals, hold regular performance conversations, and develop career paths
• Work closely with the CFO, Operations, IT and HR; represent the finance function to the executive board

What you bring in

Location

Andermatt, 4-5 days per week on site during the first 3 months (accommodation can be provided for the onboarding period), then 3 days per week on site, the rest can be worked remote
