Job summary

Andermatt Swiss Alps AG is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead accounting across its hotels, restaurants and outlets. You will oversee AP, AR, Income Audit and GL, and drive month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Swiss OR and USALI.

With 5+ years in hospitality finance, you will coach teams, optimise processes, and collaborate with Operations to strengthen internal controls and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting education or apprenticeship in finance.
• 5+ years in accounting, ideally in hospitality.
• Experience with AP/AR, income audit and GL.
• Supervisory experience is a bonus.
• Strong ERP and Excel skills; BI experience helpful.
• Familiarity with Swiss OR and USALI.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first contact for finance matters across hotels and outlets.
• Coordinate day-to-day accounting across AP, AR, Income Audit, and GL.
• Steer month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings and review reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements under Swiss OR and USALI; investigate variances.
• Provide coaching and prioritisation for the team, even without direct line authority.
• Bridge Operations and Finance as the escalation point; ensure policy compliance.
• Drive standardisation, automation and system improvements; promote continuous improvement.

• You are the first point of contact for finance matters in your portfolio of hotels, restaurants and outlets.
• You coordinate day-to-day accounting activities across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit and General Ledger.
• You steer month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• You support the preparation of financial statements under Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and USALI and investigate significant variances.
• You provide functional guidance, coaching and prioritisation for your team, even without direct line authority.
• You are the first escalation point for finance-related operational matters and the bridge between Operations and Finance.
• You ensure compliance with policies, internal controls and procedures and identify process weaknesses.
• You drive standardisation, automation and system improvements and strengthen a culture of continuous improvement.

What you bring in

• Commercial apprenticeship, accounting qualification or comparable education in finance, accounting or business administration
• 5 or more years of accounting experience, ideally in hospitality or other service-oriented environments
• Experience across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit and General Ledger highly desirable
• Experience coordinating or guiding accounting teams, supervisory experience an advantage but not essential
• Confident use of ERP systems (SUN, SAP or Oracle) and Excel, experience with AP/AR automation (e.g. Yooz) and BI platforms (e.g. Power BI) an advantage
• Familiarity with hospitality-specific systems (e.g. Opera PMS) and good understanding of Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and USALI
• Analytical, accurate and solution-oriented way of working
