Zusammenfassung

Amentum is seeking a Hazardous Cargo Specialist to prepare dangerous goods for transport by air, sea, and land for the US Antarctic Program. You will ensure proper packaging, labeling, and documentation in line with 49 CFR, IATA, IMDG and AFMAN 24-604, and coordinate multi-modal shipments.

This role requires high safety standards, the ability to work long shifts in remote Antarctica, and experience in inventory control or aircraft cargo handling, with a valid US driver's license and readiness

Qualifikationen

• 49CFR, IATA, IMDG, and AFMAN 24-604 training within 90 days of starting
• General awareness and safety training across 5 key areas
• Strong communication and customer service experience
• Knowledge of aircraft load planning and regulations governing transportation of hazardous materials
• Ability to adapt to dynamic situations
• Clear, concise communication skills

Aufgaben

• Identify, classify, package, label, and document hazardous goods for transport per regulations
• Track cargo movement through all shipment phases and ensure proper documentation
• Operate and maintain ATO vehicles and safety equipment
• Packs temperature-controlled samples for retrograde shipping by air and surface
• Coordinate changes and cargo handling for resupply operations
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and compliance with safety policies
