Ignite Next GmbH in Switzerland seeks a Grid Systems Engineer to design and develop medium-voltage grid interconnection for our power conversion platform. You will collaborate with Power Electronics, Firmware and Test teams to ensure grid-code compliance across markets.

This early-stage role offers direct exposure to CTO and engineering leadership, with prototype through production milestones and travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• BSc / MSc in electrical engineering or comparable education.
• Experience with medium-voltage grid interconnection and utility-scale power electronics preferred.
• Fluency in English; German helpful but not mandatory.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop the medium-voltage grid interconnection system (13.8kV–35kV) and related equipment.
• Analyze equipment data and conduct tests on grid-interface hardware under realistic conditions.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes and interconnection standards (IEEE 519, IEEE 1547, IEC 61850, UL 1741).
• Prototype construction and checkout of grid-interconnection subsystems for Alpha and Production milestones.
• Prepare customer application information and documentation for grid-tied deployments.
• Collaborate with Power Electronics and Firmware teams on protection coordination and control strategies.
• Support certification processes with test partners (UL, TÜV, IEC 62477).
• Travel nationally and internationally as needed.
