Zusammenfassung

VAT Group is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to shape and execute global packaging procurement and select indirect categories. You will analyze spend, lead RFx events, negotiate contracts, and drive supplier performance with cross-functional partners.

Based in Haag, St. Gallen, CH, this permanent role offers autonomy to manage sourcing projects, deliver measurable value, and align with VAT’s strategic goals. Fluency in German and English is required.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in business, supply chain, procurement, or engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management in global settings.
• Proven packaging procurement or strategic sourcing experience with supplier markets.
• Track record in leading sourcing initiatives from opportunity to value realization.
• Strong negotiation, supplier strategy and performance management.
• Experience in global/multi-site supplier markets within a matrix org.

Aufgaben

• Develop and lead strategic sourcing across Packaging, Professional Services, IT, and other categories.
• Analyze spend, demand, supplier markets, and cost drivers to identify value opportunities.
• Create sourcing roadmaps to strengthen competitiveness, resilience and long-term value.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing from RFx through implementation with stakeholders and Legal.
• Negotiate complex commercial terms and craft effective contractual solutions.
• Develop strategic suppliers and drive performance, consolidation and optimization.
• Implement sourcing and risk mitigation strategies including alternate sourcing.
• Translate business needs into sourcing solutions and drive cross-functional decisions.
• Coordinate with Operations, IT, HR, Finance, Legal and Procurement globally.
• Ensure measurable value through savings, cost avoidance, and risk reduction.
