Job summary

MSC Technology Italy in Geneva, Switzerland, is seeking an experienced Shipping Revenue Analyst to join the Finance organization and support revenue analysis, financial performance monitoring, and business decisions across international shipping operations.

You will work closely with Commercial, Trade Analysts, and other teams to ensure revenue visibility, analyze drivers like freight rates and volumes, and develop reporting tools and dashboards using Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Solid professional experience in Revenue Analysis, Financial Analysis, Commercial Finance, or similar analytical roles.
• Strong background in the shipping and maritime transportation industry, with knowledge of liner shipping operations and commercial dynamics.
• Experience in revenue monitoring, financial reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to collaborate with Finance, Commercial, and operational teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English; attention to detail; adaptability in a dynamic, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze revenue performance across shipping operations, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and deliver accurate revenue reports, financial analyses, and performance insights for decision-making.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Trade Analysts and other stakeholders to align revenue with business objectives.
• Analyze revenue drivers such as cargo volumes, freight rates, trade performance, and market dynamics.
• Support revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning with reliable data and insights.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and models to improve visibility and data accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for process improvements and act as a point of contact for revenue-related matters.
