Job summary

Work Selection AG in Basel seeks a Global Project Manager for a 12-month assignment with Roche. You will manage a range of medical device development projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, design controls, and external partners to ensure successful product delivery.

You will bring 8–11 years in the medical device/pharma sector, strong PM skills, and fluency in English, with experience in vendor collaboration and global time-zone coordination. Basel-based role with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 8–11 years of experience, preferably in global medical device/pharma.
• Experience in drug/medical device development and commercialization.
• Proficiency in Project Management best practices and software.
• Knowledge of 21CFR820.30 design control requirements.
• Vendor/partner collaboration experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English is required.
• PMP certification is an asset.
• German, Japanese or Danish is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure collaboration across cross-functional device development teams to drive product development activities.
• Plan, coordinate, execute, and monitor project management activities in a regulated medical device environment.
• Develop and update Design and Development Plans and roadmaps with milestones and resources.
• Drive project execution, monitor schedules, manage scope, and ensure timely deliverables.
• Support governance and compliance with stage-gates and documentation readiness.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies with mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement communication strategies, dashboards, and stakeholder reporting.
• Lead cross-functional meetings, document outcomes, and track action items.
• Coordinate deliverables across departments and partner teams to align schedules and objectives.
• Forecast and manage resources, budgets, and costs with financial visibility.
• Maintain centralized knowledge management and lessons learned.
• Lead continuous improvement and share best practices.
• Apply PM best practices for planning, collaboration, risk, and performance tracking.
• Act as backup to Device Team Leader when required.
