Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Material Declaration Specialist in Basel to drive data migration of chemical legislation data and ensure regulatory compliance for diagnostics instruments, consumables, and packaging. You will translate data structures from legacy systems and streamline load-file processes with automation, supporting global product stewardship.

The role emphasizes data integrity, Tableau dashboards in Snowflake, and collaboration with EH&S teams to uphold REACH, RoHS, TSCA, Prop 65, and

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or Data/Information Sciences with chemistry focus.
Experience managing complex data in medical device or precision/high-tech manufacturing (EH&S data).
Knowledge of REACH, RoHS, California Proposition 65, TSCA, POP, Conflict Minerals, packaging directives.
Understanding of material composition in instruments and electronics.
Experience migrating compliant data with data governance standards.
Proficiency with Tableau dashboards and Snowflake data pipelines.
Familiarity with SAP EH&S(M) and SAP GUI scripting; basic AI tools is a plus.
Excellent English, German is a plus.

Modernize chemical data model and transform legacy data for migration.
Ensure global regulatory compliance for instruments, consumables, and packaging.
Prepare load files and perform post-load checks with automation tools.
Drive efficiency by automating tasks and report generation.
