Job summary

Roche Diagnostics is seeking a Product Safety Specialist to manage Material Declaration and data governance across instruments, consumables and packaging, migrating data to S/4HANA and ensuring global compliance.

You will drive EH&S data stewardship, develop Tableau dashboards, collaborate across functions, and support regulatory frameworks like REACH, RoHS and Prop 65 while advancing sustainability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Material Sciences, Data/Information Sciences or related field.
• Experience in medical device/electronics/precision/high-tech manufacturing product safety environments.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations (REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, TSCA, POP, Packaging Directive).
• Expertise migrating compliance data to enterprise platforms (SAP EH&S/S/4HANA).
• Experience with data pipelines and dashboards (Tableau, Snowflake).
• Experience with Material Declaration Data Management Systems (SAP EH&S(M)).
• Familiarity with Python, RPA, VBA and SAP GUI Scripting.
• Understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall/Agile).
• Strong collaborative and communication skills and stakeholder management.
• English fluent; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support a global data migration project to move chemical data to EHSM S/4HANA.
• Modernize chemical data model for seamless migration to S4/HANA.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for diagnostics instruments, consumables and packaging (REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, TSCA, etc.).
• Ensure data accuracy with load files and post-load verifications using automation.
• Drive efficiency through automation and automated report generation.
• Contribute to project meetings with insights and SME input.
• Use project management tools to monitor health and milestones.
