Job summary

Bottomline seeks a hands-on Financial Accountant to join our General Ledger Accounting team, primarily responsible for the Swiss entity in Geneva and supporting the wider EMEA organisation. The role involves ownership of month-end close, balance sheet control, audits, and cash activities, with exposure to FP&A and business partnering across international teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in financial accounting, general ledger accounting or management accounting within international/multi-entity organisations.
• Solid understanding of month-end close, accruals and reconciliations.
• Experience with external/statutory audits and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of general ledger accounting and month-end close for our Swiss entity in Geneva, while supporting other EMEA entities.
• Prepare and review accounting entries including accruals, prepayments, payroll, expenses, accounts payable and other month-end adjustments.
• Perform P&L reviews and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy and supporting documentation.
• Oversee asset accounting incl. depreciation, capitalization and amortization of internally generated assets.
• Support annual statutory audits and provide information to auditors and stakeholders.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual close processes with timely reporting.
• Collaborate with FP&A and business partners to explain financial movements and costs.
• Assist intercompany, tax and wider accounting queries across international Finance teams.
