Jobbeschreibung

The Global Head of Storage will be responsible for managing the overall third-party storage lease position for Trafigura, which currently has an expenditure of >1B annually.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in the Energy terminals industry
  • Strong understanding of market costs and economics
  • Deep knowledge of storage logistics, including warehouse management, inventory control, transportation, and regulatory requirements
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and make strategic decisions
  • Leadership experience in managing high-performing teams globally
  • Proven track record of operational excellence in commodity trading
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies for optimal storage rates and locations
  • Oversee the Storage Approval Process, data flows, and reporting across business lines
  • Create strategic plans for storage operations supporting trading and growth
  • Manage storage facilities ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Optimize inventory processes to reduce costs and manage market risks
  • Collaborate with trading teams on storage requirements and hedging strategies
  • Negotiate with storage providers; monitor service levels and costs
  • Lead and develop storage teams, fostering continuous improvement
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and regulations; recommend improvements
  • Report on storage performance, KPIs, and operational insights to senior management
