Job summary

FMC Corporation invites a seasoned Bioprocess Expert to join its new Global Innovation Centre in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. You will lead fermentation and downstream processing excellence, guiding cross-functional teams from R&D to manufacturing on scale-up, tech transfer, and continuous improvement.

With 10–15 years in fermentation/DSP and strong leadership, you will develop best practices, drive process optimization, and mentor colleagues to strengthen FMC’s bioprocess capability across global

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of fermentation and DSP experience in commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of process control and optimization for bioprocesses.
• Experience with scale-up/scale-down and technology transfer, including CAPEX support.
• Ability to lead, influence decisions and develop technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as global SME for industrial bioprocessing, guiding centers and sites.
• Optimize processes for yield, productivity, robustness, cycle time and cost.
• Analyse data, identify trends, and lead investigations of deviations.
• Lead scale-up, scale-down and tech transfer from lab to production.
• Develop standards, best practices, and knowledge sharing across sites.
• Provide on-site support for critical campaigns and mentoring.
