ABB is seeking a Global Events Lead to manage the Center of Excellence for Events and Exhibitions across the EMEA region, reporting to the Global Communications Manager. The role focuses on operational excellence, team leadership, and delivery of priority events and exhibitions within a 12-month maternity cover, aligning with divisional priorities and ABB policies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years in event management within global or matrix organizations.
• Experience managing complex event portfolios, budgets, and multi-regional delivery.
• Knowledge of physical, hybrid, and digital event formats and technologies.
• Experience in multinational, cross-cultural environments; CoE or shared services exposure.
• Fluency in English.

Responsabilités

• Lead the global Event and Exhibition Center of Expertise and oversee regional experts.
• Manage day-to-day operation of the Events & Exhibitions CoE, including demand intake, prioritization, portfolio visibility, and resource allocation.
• Oversee high-quality event delivery: planning, suppliers, logistics, production, registration, lead capture, technology, budgets, reporting and on-site execution.
• Monitor event performance, KPIs, CoE tools, and supplier partnerships; drive continuous improvement and cross-regional collaboration.
