Zusammenfassung

The World Health Organization in Geneva seeks a senior technical expert on disability within the NMH/CAI Unit to advance disability-inclusive health systems and the Disability Health Equity Initiative.

You will develop evidence-based materials, liaise with regional and country offices, support capacity building, and coordinate events such as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 7 years of progressive professional experience in disability inclusion with country/ regional exposure.
• Experience providing technical support to government partners and implementing disability Inclusion strategies.
• International exposure is required; UN system experience is a plus.
• Desirable: work with health system development.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical expertise on disability and support implementation of activities globally, regionally, and nationally.
• Develop and disseminate evidence-based materials and tools for disability-inclusive health systems in Member States.
• Liaise with Regional and Country Offices and external partners on disability-related activities.
• Support planning and execution of initiatives for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
• Develop training materials for capacity building in disability inclusion.
• Conduct research and contribute to data collection and evaluation of disability-inclusive health systems.
• Assist Unit Head with work plans, budgets, and resource mobilization.
• Act as a technical focal point for disability inclusion and communicate with counterparts and partners.
