Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products in Zürich-Oerlikon seeks a Project Lead Engineer to drive end-to-end GIS projects from planning to delivery, covering design, procurement, and stakeholder engagement.

You will manage budgets, timelines, and quality, coordinating with R&D, production, procurement and QA, with on-site support during commissioning and travel as needed. Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Min 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably GIS or high-voltage equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Creo, AutoCAD) for design and documentation.
• Experience with SAP, MS Office, and scheduling tools.
• Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to coordinate across R&D, production, procurement and QA in a global context.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus; willingness to travel occasionally.

• Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage technical project plans aligned with customer needs.
• Engineering & Technical Documentation: Prepare specifications, drawings, assembly instructions and material lists.
• Stakeholder & Customer Coordination: Serve as primary technical contact for customers and suppliers.
• Material & Supply Chain Management: Define material requirements and oversee procurement.
• Budget & Timeline Control: Track costs and ensure on-time delivery with corrective actions.
• Quality Assurance & Process Improvement: Identify issues and drive improvements adhering to quality standards.
• Site Support & Commissioning: Provide on-site technical assistance during installation, testing, and commissioning.
