GE Vernova in Birr, Switzerland offers an engineering internship through the STEPS program. You will work on the design and manufacturing of gas turbine hardware, gaining practical experience alongside engineers in a global organization.

You will analyze non-conforming hardware, assist in redesigns, and participate in qualification activities while collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and manufacturability.

Competenze

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Solid understanding of design fundamentals, stress, fatigue, creep, materials and tolerancing.
• Familiarity with GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings.

Mansioni

• Analyze and resolve hardware deviations and non-conformities.
• Support redesigns through drawing updates and documentation.
• Assist qualification of hardware for second-source suppliers and process changes.
• Participate in technical reviews and risk assessments at component and assembly level.
• Support improvements in manufacturability, quality, and cost.
