Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. invites engineering students for a DLE Engineering Intern role in Birr, Switzerland. You will support design and manufacturing of gas turbine flow path hardware, help resolve deviations, and work with cross-functional teams to improve quality and manufacturability.

The program offers mentorship, hands-on hardware exposure at Birr factory, and training in industry tools. English fluency is required, and relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed Mechanical Engineering degree in Switzerland.
• Familiar with GD&T, engineer drawings, and BOM interpretation.
• Experience with forging, casting, machining, coatings, inspection, fixturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and help resolve non-conforming hardware using engineering tools and methods.
• Support redesign efforts through engineering drawing updates.
• Assist with qualification of hardware for second-source suppliers and process changes.
• Participate in technical reviews and risk assessments at component and assembly level.
• Follow established engineering standards, templates, and standard work.
• Contribute to improvements in manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Collaborate across engineering and global supply chain to support hardware delivery.
