Job summary

FELFEL is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer in Zurich to build systems spanning warehouse automation, customer-facing apps, and hardware devices. You will own backend and frontend work, maintain critical services, and collaborate with warehouse operations to ship features rapidly.

You will work with C#/Java/Kotlin/Go and TypeScript, contribute to Android apps, and integrate payments and external partners while ensuring production health.

Qualifications

• Proven production experience in at least one typed backend language (such as C#, Java, Kotlin, Go, or TypeScript) and one modern frontend framework.
• Track record of owning software in production, including on-call duties, debugging from logs, and resolving live issues while users wait.
• Familiarity with or willingness to dive into C#, TypeScript, Android, and Kotlin.
• Prior exposure to hardware, IoT, edge devices, payments, logistics, retail operations, or Odoo environments is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to ship features in unfamiliar tech stacks and learn quickly.
• Strong collaboration with end-users (warehouse/operations) over-only engineering teams.
• Fluent English; German or French a plus.
• Valid work permit or Swiss passport.

Responsibilities

• Take vague problems and turn them into shipped solutions across backend, web apps, Android app, or devices.
• Maintain warehouse and supplier web apps for inbound processing, picking, labels, inventory.
• Develop back-office tools and manage GraphQL API for menus, deliveries, sites.
• Manage service connecting picking lanes to the broader system for warehouse operations.
• Oversee Android POS app on fridge devices and streamline fleet releases.
• Integrate card payments, TWINT, ERP, and external partners securely.
• Drive production health with logs, alerts, feature rollouts, tests, and cleanup.
• Review pull requests and split features into manageable pieces.
• Participate in on-call rotation and test changes on-site with end-users.
