Zusammenfassung

FELFEL is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer in Zurich to build systems spanning warehouse automation, customer-facing apps, and hardware devices. You will own backend and frontend work, maintain critical services, and collaborate with warehouse operations to ship features rapidly.

You will work with C#/Java/Kotlin/Go and TypeScript, contribute to Android apps, and integrate payments and external partners while ensuring production health.

Qualifikationen

• Proven production experience in at least one typed backend language (such as C#, Java, Kotlin, Go, or TypeScript) and one modern frontend framework.
• Track record of owning software in production, including on-call duties, debugging from logs, and resolving live issues while users wait.
• Familiarity with or willingness to dive into C#, TypeScript, Android, and Kotlin.
• Prior exposure to hardware, IoT, edge devices, payments, logistics, retail operations, or Odoo environments is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to ship features in unfamiliar tech stacks and learn quickly.
• Strong collaboration with end-users (warehouse/operations) over-only engineering teams.
• Fluent English; German or French a plus.
• Valid work permit or Swiss passport.

• Review pull requests and split features into manageable pieces.
• Participate in on-call rotation and test changes on-site with end-users.

Are you a versatile problem-solver who wants to write software that impacts the physical world? As a Full Stack Software Engineer (100%) in Zurich, you will be at the core of our operations, building systems that touch everything from warehouse automation to customer-facing smart fridges.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take vague problems from non-technical colleagues and turn them into shipped solutions across our backend, web apps, Android app, or physical devices.
• Maintain the warehouse and supplier web apps used daily for inbound processing, picking, labels, and inventory.
• Develop our back-office internal tools, managing the backend and GraphQL API that run menus, deliveries, and customer sites.
• Manage the critical service connecting our automated picking lanes to the broader system to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
• Oversee the Android Point of Sale application running on hundreds of fridge devices and streamline the release process for the fleet.
• Integrate card payments, TWINT, our ERP, and other external partner systems securely.
• Drive production health by managing logs, alerts, careful feature rollouts, rollback plans, upgrades, tests, and code cleanup.
• Split complex features into manageable pieces and thoroughly review pull requests from other engineers.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, debug live issues alongside the operations team, and occasionally visit the warehouse to test changes on-site with end-users.

YOUR PROFILE

• Proven production experience in at least one typed backend language (such as "C#", "Java", "Kotlin", "Go", or "TypeScript") and one modern frontend framework.
• Track record of successfully owning software in production, including on-call duties, debugging from logs, and resolving live issues while users wait.
• Familiarity with or willingness to dive into C#, TypeScript, Android, and Kotlin.
• Prior exposure to hardware, IoT, edge devices, payments, logistics, retail operations, or Odoo environments is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to ship features in an unfamiliar tech stack and learn new systems at a rapid pace.
• Strong passion for collaborating directly with end-users, including warehouse and operations staff, rather than exclusively with other engineers.
• High degree of curiosity and a proactive mindset to take full ownership of problems from end to end.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken); knowledge of German or French is a plus.

• Valid work permit or Swiss passport.
