Zusammenfassung

HUBER+SUHNER is seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to design and verify FPGA logic using VHDL for Xilinx Artix-7 devices. You will implement deterministic FSMs, develop low-level I²C/SPI/UART drivers, and create self-checking test benches while collaborating with electronics and software teams.

The role involves hardware bring-up, lab validation, constraints management, and producing production-ready bitstreams. Proactive flow improvements and scripting with Tcl/Python are encouraged.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in electronic/ electrical engineering or computer engineering.
• Strong hands-on VHDL experience and FPGA verification.
• Proven experience with Xilinx Artix-7 devices and Vivado toolchain.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, UART and bus protocols.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement FPGA logic in VHDL for Xilinx Artix-7 devices using Vivado.
• Develop finite state machines to control hardware interfaces and protocols.
• Create low-level driver logic for I²C, SPI, and other serial interfaces.
• Write and maintain test benches and run functional and timing simulations.
• Perform hardware bring-up, lab testing, and iterative debug.
• Manage constraints (XDC), clocking, resets, and timing closure.
• Contribute to requirements, architecture, and module specs for FPGA systems.
• Maintain version control and traceability to requirements.
• Produce design descriptions, interfaces, test procedures, and release notes.
• Support system integration and assist production/field teams with issues.
• Improve FPGA design flows, test coverage, and automation.
