u-blox AG in Thalwil, Switzerland, is seeking a Senior FPGA based SoC Prototyping Engineer to lead FPGA prototyping strategy and coordinate with design and firmware teams. The role is full-time with a hybrid working model across Thalwil, Leuven, and Athens.

You will own hardware setup, port RTL for FPGA, and ensure timely delivery of functional prototypes while continuously improving prototyping flows and back-end processes.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience with multiple full SoC projects delivering FPGA prototypes.
• Strong background in FPGA backends for AMD and Altera.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems combining hardware, design and firmware.
• Curious, proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
• Solid ASIC design knowledge including architecture and clocking.

Aufgaben

• Own FPGA based SoC prototyping strategy, implementation and validation.
• Port RTL to FPGA-friendly, synthesizable code with floorplanning and constraints.
• Coordinate alignment between design and firmware for on-time prototypes.
• Improve internal FPGA prototyping flows and back-end processes.
• Support prototype users with hardware/firmware bring-up and troubleshooting.
