Job summary

Join is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation & Data Engineer to own end-to-end flight data handling—from sensors and DAQ to final processing tools. You will ensure reliable, standardized workflows across engineering teams and drive long-term data accessibility.

You will manage the FTI/DAQ pipeline, calibrations, and metadata, while collaborating with hardware, software, and integration teams to optimize bandwidth, storage, and performance for high-frequency flight data.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with sensor installations, DAQ hardware, and telemetry pipelines.
• Proficient in time-series data handling, data quality checks and metadata management.
• Strong scripting and data pipeline development skills; able to optimize memory and CPU usage.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end data pipeline management from sensors/DAQ to storage and tooling.
• Maintain sensor configurations, calibration records, and metadata for accurate engineering units.
• Collaborate with hardware/software teams to define DAQ architectures and bandwidth allocations.
• Troubleshoot data anomalies at DAQ/sensor level before they impact downstream systems.
• Ensure data quality, synchronization, and fast previews for post-flight reviews.
• Support scalable local data storage and efficient access to large flight datasets.
