Zusammenfassung

Hilo by Aktiia is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to own the integrity of financial records and build the accounting backbone for scalable international operations. You will manage monthly, quarterly and annual closes across multiple entities, oversee a small team, ensure VAT/tax compliance and drive automation using AI to improve efficiency and controls.

You will report to the VP Finance and collaborate with Operations, Sales and external accountants across jurisdictions to deliver

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, audit (Big 4), financial controlling or a similar Finance role, ideally in an international environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow accounting.
• Hands-on experience owning or coordinating monthly and annual financial closings.
• Experience with multiple legal entities and intercompany accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and audit requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and investigating transactions directly within the system.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and confidence working with large financial datasets.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• A hands-on, ownership-driven approach and the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.
• Interest in using AI, automation and new technologies to improve Finance processes and reduce manual work.

Aufgaben

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual closing across the Group.
• Coordinate accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, ensuring consistent practices and timely reporting.
• Supervise the day-to-day accounting activities of a two-person team, covering revenue, COGS, inventory, payroll, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and general ledger accounting.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting documentation and balance sheet accounts, ensuring outstanding items are investigated and resolved.
• Maintain the closing calendar, responsibilities and controls, including appropriate cut-off and accounting treatment across entities.
• Continuously improve the speed, quality and reliability of the close.
• Act as a key Finance contact for annual audits and reviews and provide required financial information and documentation.
• Partner closely with the FP&A team to ensure timely, accurate and consistent financial reporting and a clear understanding of financial performance.
