Zusammenfassung

Adaptyv is building an automated lab where AI agents design and run experiments, with the finance role as a hands-on first hire. You will build the forecast, manage cash across entities, and own margin insights and pricing strategy, enabling the business to iterate rapidly while maintaining control of the books.

The role requires deep finance experience in startups, strong modeling, and comfort coding against APIs; you will drive treasury, compliance, and investor reporting as the company scales.

Qualifikationen

• You have built a finance function at a startup that scaled.
• You can build a real, integrative model linking throughput, yield, capacity to cash.
• You write code, or are about to; SQL is required and Python is preferred.
• You understand cost structure of a physical business: reagents, instruments, capex vs COGS, yield.
• Swiss and European finance experience, VAT and employment law.
• Ambitious to lead finance at a much larger Adaptyv in three years.
• Trustworthy with salaries, revenue, investor communications, and board material.

Aufgaben

• Own the forecast for two entities, bottom-up lab capacity and top-down P&L, burn and runway.
• Own gross margin analysis including costs of reagents, instruments, and labour.
• Own pricing decisions, rationales, and floor calculations for lab services.
• Own the close and intercompany consolidations, ensuring speed and accuracy.
• Own cash management, bank and card accounts, AP/AR, and payment timing.
• Maintain compliance: tax, VAT, payroll, external firms collaboration.
• Support investor reporting, treasury management, and capital planning.
• Oversee equipment leasing and asset management related to lab instruments.
