Job summary

Anton Paar GmbH is seeking a Field Service Technician for laboratory and process instruments, based in Biel, Bern, or Solothurn and covering Western Switzerland. You will perform maintenance, calibration, installations, and customer training on-site and travel within Switzerland.

The role requires a qualification in automation/electrical engineering, experience with laboratory instruments, and a valid driving licence. Travel within Switzerland and strong customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualification as Automation Technician or equivalent with HF preferred.
• Experience servicing laboratory instruments is advantageous.
• Valid Category B driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform maintenance and repairs, installations, and GMP qualifications for laboratory instruments.
• Prepare maintenance reports and qualification documentation.
• Provide technical sales support and customer consultancy; carry out in-house repairs.

To strengthen our Swiss Service Team, we are looking for a reliable and motivated:

Field Service Technician for Laboratory and Process Instruments (m/f/d) - Region: Western Switzerland/located in Biel, Bern or Solothurn (100%)

As a Field Service Technician, you will provide on-site service for our laboratory and process instrumentation, including preventive maintenance, calibration, installation, and customer training.

Your Responsibilities

• Planning and performing maintenance and repair work, as well as installations and GMP qualifications of laboratory measuring instruments for customers in the pharmaceutical and beverage industries


• Preparing maintenance reports and qualification documentation


• Preparing quotations and cost estimates


• Providing technical sales support and customer consultancy


• Carrying out in-house repairs

Your Profile

• Qualification as an Automation Technician, Electromechanical Technician, or Electrical Engineering Technician, ideally with further education as a Higher Technical College (HF) Technician


• Preferably experience in the servicing of laboratory instruments


• Valid Category B driving licence


• Languages: French and good German skills required; English is an advantage
