Job Description
The equipment technician will be responsible for adjusting, repairing, programming, calibrating and maintaining equipment and machines used in production and related areas. This role ensures that all equipment is functioning correctly and complies with industry standards and regulations.
Scope Of Responsibilities
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and planned and unplanned calibration on monitored equipment to ensure they operate accurately and safely.
- Manages external calibration and maintenance activities, including documentation.
- Manages equipment monitoring data with equipment management software.
- Analyzes equipment and machine failures and determines possible causes and solutions.
- Troubleshoots and repairs production equipment, identifying possible causes and solutions by exchanging parts and damaged components.
- Analyzes equipment manuals to suggest changes or modifications to equipment.
- Participates, along with other employees, in analysis, proposals and implementation of solutions to quality, production and safety problems in production and plant equipment.
- Assists the engineer and the operator in the production process.
- Supports and executes process and method validations.
- Plans, executes and documents equipment qualification activities.
- Ensures compliance with general and safety procedures applicable to this position.
- May supervise or manage technicians and interns.
- Any additional activities as required.
Candidate's Profile
- Certified (Poly)Mechanic, Electrician, or comparable (at least 5 years of experience on the job with a proven track record; MedTech or regulated industry preferred).
- Strong technical skills in electronics and mechanics and excellent problem‑solving abilities.
- Very good organization and planning skills.
- Effective communication skills; fluency in German is required, and English proficiency at B1 level or higher is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent documentation and record‑keeping skills with a strong understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Highly detail‑oriented and quality‑focused mindset with a commitment to accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement.
Salary Range
CHF70,100.00 – CHF106,925.00 CHF Annual
