About the Role

We are seeking a Field Application Specialist with strong technical expertise in bioreactors and bioprocessing to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as the technical point of contact for customers—supporting product implementation, troubleshooting, and training.

You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, and Product Management to deliver excellent service and help our clients succeed in cell culture applications.

This position is based in Monthey, Switzerland, with the possibility for flexible working arrangements, including partial remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for the installation and operation of bioreactor systems.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for PLC-based control systems.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, hands-on training, and customer workshops.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Support the sales team with pre- and post-sales technical expertise.
  • Gather customer feedback and collaborate with internal teams to drive product improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Create customer support materials, such as user guides and help documentation and white papers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on industry experience with bioreactors, and cell culture (e.g. USP process development, MSAT, manufacturing).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • Experience with GMP/GLP environments.
  • Solid understanding of automation systems and PLC programming (Siemens).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with experience in technical support, field applications, or product training.
  • French & English: proficient | German: a plus
