For our customer located in Basel Kaiseraugst / Switzerland, we are currently looking for an : Expert Sinequa / Search Specialist (m / f / x)

• Branch : Pharma
• Possible to work fully remote, also possible to work onsite
• When the consultant is based outside of Switzerland, it’s necessary to work as a freelancer
• When the consultant is based in Switzerland, it’s also possible to be employed by us (payroll)

The Search Specialist within the Enterprise Search Platform Team is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the platform, powered by Sinequa technology. This role focuses on platform lifecycle and data source indexing to ensure the platform operates efficiently and effectively, supporting the use cases that leverage the platform capabilities.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Indexing and Content Management : Collaborate with data source and application owners to ensure proper indexing and searchability of relevant content, understanding business requirements, setting up indexing rules, and ensuring accurate content retrieval.
• Issue Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Monitor the search platform for issues or anomalies and provide timely resolutions, working with cross-functional teams and vendors as needed.
• Documentation and Best Practices : Develop and maintain documentation for the search platform, including configuration, indexing guidelines, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Maintenance and Optimization : Regularly maintain and optimize the Sinequa search platform, including system health monitoring, upgrades, patches, and configuration for optimal performance.

Must Haves

• Sinequa University Accreditation Certificate – Solution Architect
• Minimum 2 years experience working in an Agile delivery model, preferably SAFe
• At least 3 years working with Sinequa
• Familiarity with data structures, databases, SQL, noSQL databases (e.g., graph, vector databases)
• Good understanding of programming languages such as C# (important), Java, Angular, Python
• Proficiency in metadata management
• Experience with enterprise search engine platforms powered by Sinequa
• Knowledge of AI, NLP, and ML algorithms used for search
• Fluent English; French is a plus
• Experience with Large Language Models in enterprise environments, especially prompt engineering for RAI
