Job summary

Sika AG is seeking an ESG Digitalization Intern in Zürich/Altstetten to support the Finance & Controlling ESG data pipelines and web applications. You will contribute to automation, data engineering, and analytics workflows across Databricks and BI tools.

You will gain exposure to CI/CD practices, IaC with Terraform, and collaboration with senior tech leads in a dynamic environment. This internship emphasizes hands-on development and problem solving within a global manufacturing company.

ESG Digitalization Intern – Software & Data Engineering

Support the ESG Controlling Team in Zürich/Altstetten in its digitalization and automation journey, building and maintaining applications and data pipelines that drive automated, scalable ESG reporting.

Main Task

Software Development: Design, build, and maintain web applications, covering both front-end and back-end development. Understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and contribute to the full software lifecycle from specification through deployment.

Secondary Task (Nice to have)

CI/CD & Infrastructure: Support the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment (e.g. GitHub Actions, Terraform).

Data Engineering & Analytics: Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows in Databricks to support ESG Reporting use cases, including data ingestion, transformation, and modelling.

Knowledge of PowerBI

Familiarity with basic API design principles

Understanding of data modelling and dbt.
