Terminal Investment Limited (TIL) seeks an Equipment Engineering Manager to develop and maintain technical specifications for container handling equipment and to support the procurement process from tender to handover.

You will manage heavy equipment procurement, coordinate with engineering teams, and advance automated equipment solutions while ensuring adherence to TiL specifications and timelines.

Qualifikationen

• Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Strong technical background with ability to evaluate engineering information and make actionable recommendations.
• Expert knowledge of container terminal equipment design, manufacturing, and automation integration.
• Experience with procurement and contract negotiations.
• 10+ years' experience in equipment design and manufacturing; 25+ years for director level.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain technical specifications for container handling equipment and support procurement from tender to handover, including design review and project management.
• Manage and execute heavy equipment procurement from development to commissioning.
• Coordinate with equipment colleagues, civil engineers, and project implementation teams.
• Support development of TiL equipment specifications and automated equipment solutions.
• Maintain and coordinate the procurement plan to meet timelines and deliverables, perform tender processes per TiL policy, and justify decisions.
• Contribute to feasibility assessments for terminal upgrades, refurbishments, modernization, relocations, and major equipment repairs.
• Verify design, calculations, manufacturing, quality control, commissioning, and final acceptance of equipment according to TiL specifications.
• Research technology and innovations to improve efficiency and assess cost-effectiveness for terminals.

Equipment Engineering Manager

Main Responsibilities

• TheEquipmentEngineeringManagerwillworkwithteamofindustryprofessionalstodevelopandmaintaintechnicalspecificationsforcontainerhandlingequipmentandsupporttheprocurementprocessofthisequipmentfromtendertohandover,includingparticipationindesignreview,projectmanagement,qualityassuranceandfinalacceptance.
• Manageandexecuteheavyequipmentprocurement.RunandsupportprocessfromBusinessDevelopmenttoendofcommissioning,i.e.fromprocurementtooperations.
• Coordinatewithequipmentcolleagues,civilengineers,andprojectimplementationteams.
• SupportdevelopmentofTiLtechnicalspecificationsforequipment
• Supportdevelopmentandimplementationofautomatedequipmentspecificationsandsolutions

Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Skill:

• MinimumQualifications:

• Strongtechnicalbackgroundfollowedbyfunctionalengineeringexperienceatgatheringandevaluatingengineeringinformationandmakingactionablerecommendationstomanagement
• Expertknowledgeofcontainerterminalequipmentdesign,manufacturing,andautomationintegration
• Experiencewithanddetailedunderstandingofprocurementandcontractnegotiations
• Minimum10years’experienceinequipmentdesign,manufacturing,quality,performance,procurement,repair,modification(manager)
• Minimum25years’experienceinequipmentdesign,manufacturing,quality,performance,procurement,repair,modification(director)
• ProficiencyinbothwrittenandspokenEnglishwithstrongexpertiseinconciseandeffectivewrittenandpresentationcommunicationskills
• Proventrackrecordinchangemanagement,beingtactfulwithhighlevelofdiplomacytoenablesuccessfulinteractionacrossamulti-culturalenvironmentespeciallyinjointventures
• Theabilitytoworklogically,consistentlyandaccuratelywhilecapableofhandlingmultiplepriorityprojectssimultaneously
