Zusammenfassung

Swiss Re in Zurich seeks an Underwriter Engineering to develop and manage engineering treaty and facultative reinsurance with emphasis on France, supporting other EMEA markets. You will work with an international team, applying technical and analytical skills to complex risk challenges while helping clients build resilience.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in a scientific or commercial field; Engineering, Actuarial, or Computer Science qualifications are a strong advantage.
• Experience in the (re)insurance industry, ideally in treaty underwriting, with 3+ years or strong potential.
• Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken) for client and market engagement.

Aufgaben

• Underwrite Engineering treaty and facultative business with a primary focus on France, including technical and actuarial assessment, wording review, and negotiation with clients.
• Conduct post-underwriting activities such as risk surveys, portfolio reserve setting, treaty and facultative account servicing, and claims support.
• Source and develop new Engineering business by deepening relationships with insurers and brokers, positioning Swiss Re as a partner for decennial, construction, infrastructure, and renewable energy.
• Strengthen Swiss Re's leadership in the French engineering reinsurance market in line with company strategy.
• Deliver competent client service, including advice, special acceptances, training sessions, and workshops; drive product innovation with client-tailored solutions.
