The Role

We’re looking for an Engineering Lead for AirConsole who knows how to get things done. Our development team is technically extremely strong — we want to complement it with someone who can turn business priorities into sharp execution.

You’ll be the one who keeps the wheels turning: cutting through overcomplicated specs, steering delivery, and making sure we ship what actually matters.

This role is perfect for a builder who thrives in a lean, fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to call out complexity, prioritize relentlessly, and own outcomes end to end.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a team of engineers focused on outcomes, not just elegant implementations
• Own end-to-end product delivery across frontend, backend, automotive integrations and the game platform
• Represent AirConsole in front of leading Automotive Manufacturers
• Translate company goals into clear, actionable product specs
• Prioritize aggressively and avoid scope creep
• Call out overengineering and push for fast, effective solutions
• Unblock execution and ensure consistent shipping
• Getting your hands dirty in tough coding challenges
• Architect the in-car gaming solution of the future

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Python and Android.
• Solid architectural understanding of web applications and backend systems.
• Experience with highly scalable cloud systems (Amazon / Google / Azure)
• Experience managing delivery across multiple dev workstreams
• Excellent communicator and ruthless prioritizer
• Strong team player and motivator, bringing everyone on board.
• Based in Zurich
• Fluent in German
