Swisslinx AG is seeking a hands-on software engineer at the intersection of Rust, real-time systems and hardware. You’ll work on performance-critical software, own development activities, and contribute to feasibility studies and architecture.

Collaboration with software, hardware and system teams is essential. You’ll bring 2+ years of Rust, embedded or systems-level experience, plus real-time Linux or RTOS know-how, and strong Linux tooling.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of professional Rust development experience.
• Embedded or systems-level software development experience.
• Experience with real-time Linux (PREEMPT_RT) or an RTOS.
• Hands-on experience with CAN bus communication.
• Strong understanding of latency, jitter and task scheduling.
• Experience with asynchronous programming in Rust.
• Solid Linux knowledge and embedded build/debug tools.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.

Aufgaben

• Develop technical concepts and solutions and contribute to feasibility studies.
• Take ownership of software development activities, including implementation, testing, reviews and documentation.
• Define, estimate and plan software work packages for timely delivery.
• Create and maintain software specifications and designs within architecture and quality standards.
• Collaborate with software, hardware and system engineering teams throughout development and integration.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement robust bug fixes, including post-market releases.
• Ensure compliance with development processes, quality requirements and regulatory standards.
