Zusammenfassung

Hyperscale Power GmbH seeks an Embedded SW Developer to design, implement and test firmware for their power conversion systems. You will work from prototype bring-up through qualification, in close collaboration with Power Electronics, Grid Systems and Test & Field teams.

You will shape the firmware architecture, implement real-time control loops and security features, and support integration with customer data center systems. The role offers hybrid work at our Zürich HQ.

Qualifikationen

• BSc / MSc in electrical engineering, computer engineering, embedded systems or comparable education.
• 3+ years of experience developing embedded production-grade firmware, ideally for power electronics or real-time control systems.
• Strong C / C++ programming skills with microcontrollers or DSPs (TI C2000, STM32) and their tools.
• Understanding of control theory and real-time data acquisition, protection functions, and control loops.
• Experience with protocols such as RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C, CAN, Modbus, or Ethernet/IP.
• Practical embedded security experience (HSM, secure firmware updates, IEC 62443/EU NIS2).
• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools and CI/CD for embedded systems.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop and test embedded firmware for real-time control of our power conversion stages.
• Implement protection, fault detection and safe shutdown behavior in collaboration with hardware engineers.
• Develop interfaces and protocols for monitoring, telemetry and remote control (Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP).
• Apply security-by-design principles including secure boot and encrypted communications.
• Support hardware/software bring-up and debug with oscilloscope, JTAG and logic analyzers.
• Define firmware architecture, coding standards and documentation using verified building blocks.
• Support test automation and CI/CD for firmware validation and regression testing.
• Collaborate with hardware, QA and field teams to qualify and scale firmware.
