Job summary

INFORS HT in Basel-Landschaft, Bottmingen, is seeking an experienced embedded firmware engineer to develop and test firmware for ARM microcontrollers in industrial automation systems. You will create reusable libraries, interface with industrial protocols and ensure robust communication across electronics and automation layers.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded firmware development, proficiency in C/C++, and strong experience with embedded Linux (Yocto).

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in embedded firmware/software development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, test, and maintain firmware for ARM microcontrollers.
• Create reusable firmware libraries and industrial interfaces (OPC UA, Modbus, CANopen).
• Ensure reliable communication between electronics, automation systems and higher‑level software.
• Plan and run verifications, system tests and automated test solutions.
• Document requirements, specs and test results; support prototype to production transition.
