Zusammenfassung

Helbling Technik seeks an Embedded Software Engineer focused on consumer electronics and applied AI. You will take embedded software from architecture to deployment on SoMs, implement firmware for MCUs, and apply AI on-device across bare-metal and RTOS environments.

You’ll integrate BLE/Wi‑Fi/Zigbee/Thread stacks, work with embedded Linux, and collaborate with customer teams. Fluent English required; German is a plus. Bern office with flexible work conditions.

Qualifikationen

• Requires BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum three years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded systems.
• Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal environments.
• Experience with embedded Linux (Yocto) on SoM platforms.
• Experience integrating connectivity stacks (BLE, Wi‑Fi, Zigbee/Thread).
• Hands-on AI on embedded platforms.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to embedded software architecture and design in cross-disciplinary teams.
• Develop firmware and software for MCUs and SoMs across bare-metal/RTOS environments.
• Work with various SoMs and embedded Linux; implement connectivity stacks and edge AI features.
• Write and run unit, integration, and system tests; debug across hardware/software boundary.
• Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams; mentor from senior engineers.
