Job summary

UNITED MACHINING in Biel, Switzerland, seeks a hands-on leader to manage the Electrical Cabinet Assembly team of about 10 employees. You will develop talent, enhance skills, and ensure knowledge retention across the group.

You will guarantee high quality in assembly operations, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate orders after planning to meet delivery deadlines and cost targets. Strong German is essential; English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completed a technical apprenticeship, ideally as an Automation Technician, and ideally hold leadership or people-management qualifications.
• Experience in the machine engineering industry is advantageous.
• Excellent German language skills are essential; English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Electrical Cabinet Assembly team of approximately 10 employees, including development, skills enhancement, and knowledge retention.
• Ensure high quality standards in assembly operations and guarantee compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
• Coordinate assembly orders following the planning phase and ensure delivery deadlines and assembly cost targets are met.
• Support day-to-day operations and work on projects aimed at continuous development and improvement of the department.
