Qualifikationen

  • 2-3 years’ experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
  • Sound knowledge in the Buildings technology industry.
  • Fluent in English, basic to intermediate German (A2/B1).

Within Siemens Smart Infrastructure, you will be part of our Buildings Business Unit, which brings together the full portfolio of products, software and services for buildings and adjacent infrastructure.

In our quest to revolutionize the world’s infrastructure, we are seeking an experienced EHS Professional with strong expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), for our Environmental Protection, Health Management and Safety Organization, within our SI Buildings business unit.

The Role

The candidate will play a key role in supporting our EHS team by managing and coordinating environmental assessments across our diverse portfolio of building products, services, and software solutions. This includes contributing to the development of Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), and other sustainability-related documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with our corporate environmental objectives.

Your new responsibilities

Support technical activities within Robust Eco Design (RED), focusing on :

Data & documentation

  • Data collection and quality checks for products, services, and software solutions
  • Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) creation and maintenance
  • Environmental Self Declarations II (EPD Type II acc. ISO14021) development
  • Maintenance of Homogenous Product Families (HPF)

Process support

  • Support the implementation of Robust Eco Design (RED) in development processes of products, services and software
  • Support documentation and training activities

Automation and scaling

  • Assist in automation initiatives for LCA / EPD processes
  • Contribute to data quality improvements and consistency checks
  • Assist in scaling LCA / EPD processes across the portfolio

Your talents and experience

  • Master's degree in environmental Engineering or Environmental science
  • Sound knowledge in the Buildings technology industry, with Siemens / comparable portfolio preferably
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ proven experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) development is required
  • Have a knowledge of Environmental standards (ISO 14020, 14040 series) and Environmental regulations (EPD III, EPBD, CPR, EN50693, EU Taxonomy)
  • Affinity for IT tools
  • Change management and digital transformation mindset
  • Experience with MS Office suite and data analysis tools
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized
  • Fluent in English, basic to intermediate German (A2 / B1) and eager to advance
